Why Support the Milton High School Band Foundation?

·       Instrumental music programs offer high school students a unique and enriching educational experience in music, live performance, teamwork, leadership, travel, and competition events.

·       Participation in Milton’s instrumental music program encourages and reinforces high academic achievement.  Band members have a significantly higher-than-average representation in the National Honor Society, advanced placement and honors classes, and College Preparation curriculum.

·       School District budgets provide only a portion of the funds needed for capital investments in new instruments, music, and supporting infrastructure.  Your contributions make the difference in providing the equipment and materials that enable a full range of musical opportunities for every band member.

·       Today’s elementary and middle school students will benefit as the Milton students of tomorrow – your contributions will continue to enhance the instrumental music program for years to come.

What Opportunities are Available for Giving to the Foundation?

There are several ways you can contribute to the Foundation:

·       Monetary gifts of any amount are welcome, and we encourage you to contact any one of our Board members for additional details.  If you prefer to send a check through the mail, please send your contribution to:

You may also designate your donation as a commemorative gift and the level of public recognition or anonymity you wish to receive.  The requests can be made with your contribution or through written correspondence to the Foundation Board at our Alpharetta post office address.  A letter of recognition will be provided for tax purposes.

·       Tangible items may be designated to the Foundation as gifts.  If you are interested in making a tax deductible donation of a personal object, please contact one of the Board members, email, or write to us at our Alpharetta address.  We’ll be glad to assist you with the necessary paperwork and provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.

·       The Foundation also accepts securities, financial assets, bequests and other planned giving activities with the same opportunities for recognition given to monetary donations.  For more information on how to make such contributions please contact one of our Foundation Board members.
